XNA Gamefest 2007 - this should be fun!

In sort of a last-minute maneuvering, I am going to  Gamefest this year. Gamefest is Microsoft's game technology conference, and after seeing the session tracks I am really stoked to go. Not only will the XNA framework posse I work with be showing off the cool tools and capabilities of the framework, there will be some sweet demos both in the keynote and at the XNA booth where I will be hanging out. Tips for surviving CES

I talk more about Live QnA in my other duties as QnA blogger (and about meeting Ms Dewey) , but I figured I'd give some more personal observations about the Consumer Electronics Show here. So I will be spending 4 days at CES in Las Vegas, showing off what Live QnA can do, hoping my shoes are worthy (I might just go hiking boots at this rate), and making folks an offer they can't refuse. I'll be with Alexandra and Richard, two noble marketers who are also part of the Live Search booth.

I leave for a week and what happens?

  1. I get some much-needed sleep and sun. 
  2. Google answers goes kaput. A moment of silence in respect for those guys' efforts and early-to-market presence.
  3. Seattle gets buried in snow. Buried meaning any amount of it; we can't take it, we can't drive in it, and the whining starts forthwith. My whine was actually the angst of flying into SeaTac with only one runway shoveled, worrying if we'll land and worried we'll get sent off to Portland. What a climate cultural shock after the tropics! :)
