Shiny @ Macworld Expo: Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac
I've been unmistakably jammy and bagged myself a slot at Macworld Expo almost as soon as CES closes its doors. And this year Apple's Macintosh Business Unit is loudly heralding the arrival of an Intel-native Microsoft Office for Mac which will be fully, marvellously compatible with Microsoft Office 2007.

As is traditional, CES Unveiled was the home of all things unusual and off-kilter, and you'll see from the videos that Ashley Norris and I shot around the room that toys were definitely the new piano black as far as gadgetry is concerned.
But there were also little innovations popping up around the place that we might well see being integrated as standard in the future. For example, this HD Radio iTunes tagging system.
iPod docks are ten a penny in Shinyville, but there are still enough weird and wonderful designs and innovations to make the occasionally one worth talking about, such as the Vestalife Ladbybug, the speakers of which open up like wings.
It's sometimes easy to forget that consumer electronics is about helping everyone, not just having an extra-sparkly bit of kit, so it's great to see innovations like Viable's video phone - designed for the deaf and hard of hearing - at CES Unveiled today.
