    June 30th, 2008

We mainly know Lenovo for their line of ThinkPad notebooks, but consumers really do not like those laptops because of their plain styling. Luckily for consumers Lenovo has released a new line of notebooks called their IdeaPad series. We first got a look at Lenovo's Ideapad series at CES earlier this year. Out of the 3 new notebooks we were most interested in the very tiny U110. This small laptop has a lot of very innovative features like a LED backlit screen and facial recognition. At only 2.92lbs it is a perfect notebook for traveling and mobile users. ... Read entire article

    June 30th, 2008

The Asus Eee PC has certainly set an unpredecented, er, precedent, moving thousands of units and proving to the world that there is a market for a tiny notebook which does the most basic of tasks minus the bloated bells and whistles of much more expensive devices. 3K Computers has taken up this challenge, and they recently announced their second generation of RazorBook 400 mini-notebook computer in the form of the 3K RazorBook 400 Mini Notebook Ultra Mobile PC which is powered by Windows CE. Motorola Z10 in pictures

      June 27th, 2008

Motorola Z10 picturesWe're still waiting for Motorola to get real with their Motorola Z10 slider in the US. So, in the meantime, Rafe from AllAboutSymbian has posted some live shots of the Motorola Z10 in action.

Like the Motorola Z8, the Z10 features that trick kick-slider. But, with a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, onboard video editing software, and higher-quality materials, the Motorola Z10 has more to be desired. Of course, there aren't any indications that Motorola is planning to bring this desirable slider to its largest market in the US, but here's to ...

        Pepcom’s Digital Experience 2008

        June 26th, 2008

        digitalexperiencecoti.jpg

For those of us in the consumer magazine business, now is when the holiday rush begin. While we've already seen a handful of product line shows over the past couple of weeks, Pepcom's Digital Experience event traditionally marks a sort of unofficial start to the summer gauntlet of holiday shows.

I've attended the event the past several years, and I have to say that this year's show--despite the impressive spread of domesticated wild life on hand as part of the "safari" theme--was something of a disappointment. Perhaps it's the old economic downturn, ...

        Patent on Touch Screen Technologies?

        June 26th, 2008

Yesterday I received a few Google’s Alert messages relative to TabletKiosk. I disregarded them because I covered the initial news while back and secondly because all this is just a bad joke. Today, Gail Levy, Marketing Director of TabletKiosk has posted a short note in her blog clarifying a few things about this lawsuit.

If Typhoon Touch Technologies can own the universal license for all Mobile Touch Screen Technology, then maybe I should apply for a patent that covers making a call on a mobile phone or using a knob to turn on a ...

        June 26th, 2008
        by: John Yan
NEWS - Back at CES this past year, I was talking to one of AMD reps that I've worked with a long time and how I missed the All-in-Wonder line. With a sly look on his face, he told me to stay tuned and that it might not be gone after all. Well, the line has finally returned with the new ATI Radeon All-in-Wonder HD. For the media side, the card utilizes an ATI Theater 650 Pro for hardware MPEG-2 encoding alleviating the CPU from doing the work of recording analog signal. It's a single tuner card ...
